Best Reader Test 2016

Best Reader Test is a talent programme for school students based on Current Affairs and General Knowledge. The exam is conducted to assess the reading skills of students based on their reading habits. Reading is an important activity that must be developed from a young age. Reading helps an individual to comprehend and decipher the complexities of the society. Reading opens a window to the world.

For students, it is ncessary that they understand a world beyond tweets and social media updates. Best Reader Test creates an opportunity for all the students to improve their social awareness. Best Reader seeks not only to inform but to interest, to stimulate and to excite the future generation.

Best Reader is an aptitude test conducted in schools. Regular demands and interests from various school managements, parents and students, Best Reader Test will be conducted as a National level scholarship exam from 2016 onwards.

Various entrance examinations and other career oriented jobs focus more on the Current Affairs and General Knowledge. For students, it is necessary that they nurture their reading habits from a young age rather than Tweets and Facebook updates. The importance of reading are as follows:

Programme Highlights

  • A National level Scholarship Exam programme for school students.
  • The aim of Best Reader Test is to promote the habit of newspaper reading , acquiring knowledge and being resourceful among students.
  • Exam will be condcucted from classes 5 to 10, irrespective of school syllabus.
  • BRT 2016 will be conducted during the current academic year.
  • Three Levels of BRT are
    • Level 1 : Class 5 & Class 6
    • Level 2 : Class 7 & Class 8
    • Level 3 : Class 9 & Class 10
  • Preliminary exams will be conducted in all schools. The exam will include 50 questions and the time limit is 30 Minutes. It carries 1 mark for each question.
  • Negative marking will be there for wrong answers. For every 3 wrong answers 1 mark will be deducted.
  • In each level, the student scoring the highest mark will be selected as the school level winner.
  • Registration fee of Rs.100/- will be collected from each participants.
